This concept gives Gem City Catfé a cohesive visual identity that can be used across many applications. Inspired by the personality of the felines in their care, a playful cat character was developed. The character is intended to have a cartoon build instead of an anatomically correct structure in order to reflect the comically liquid nature of a cat’s movement. This cartoon build also ensures the character can easily be manipulated into many different poses for future use. The colors and details used in the logo were inspired by mid-century modern decor, adding a saturated yellow and warm cream color to compliment the dark green already used by the cafe.
